I have sewn ever since I was a little girl, inheriting the sewing gene from my mum. I had a great sewing teacher at school (yes they did used to teach sewing 'back in the day') and from then there was no stopping me! A bit of a perfectionist, I love seeing the potential of a garment and creating something unique. Curtains have been transformed into skirts, skirts into tops and endless Oxfam bargains updated and worn to death. Over the last 30-odd years I have sewn curtains, cushions, bags, duvet covers, fascinators, quilts and of course, clothes, including wedding and bridesmaid dresses.
I have a City and Guilds in Embroidery and can also offer machine embroidery and hand beading to any garment. I will also occassionally make garments from scratch, depending on the style and how busy I am.
All fittings and consultations are carried out in privacy from my purpose
built studio at the rear of the house.
Bridalwear is a speciality and I regularly carry out alterations for a number
